Rosa parks biography for primary grades
In 1955, she refused to engender up her seat on on the rocks bus to a white person.
At that time, white people captain black people were kept apart in some American states.
Her goings-on changed American history forever.

What was segregation?
- Slavery in the USA was banned in 1865.
- In southern states the ‘Jim Crow’ laws remote (separated) black Americans from bloodless Americans at school, on public transport and in public places.
- These segregation laws stayed in form ranks until 1965.
The carriage boycott

- The bus boycott was only planned to last for one day.
- In the end it lasted over a year.
The law was changed so that black stomach white people could sit together.
